Faceless

We are the faceless generation,
Unabashed, unfettered, ungrammatical.
Our stories out on public domain
For your viewing pleasure–
Of heartbreaks, breakfasts,
Interests and insecurities
Gone viral.
We like to be liked,
We like to be talked about,
We like thinking we are not
The ctrl-c ctrl-v man on the street,
Or the twit
who ninety times a minute
Sees herself on the mirror,
Or the loser who needs a hug.
We like to think that
Amidst all the media clutter
it is us that matter.
We are the faceless generation,
Unabashed, unfettered, unreal.
